Wally Szczerbiak and Ben Wallace close to return

Ben WallaceBen Wallace and Wally Szczerbiak took part in practice today and the Cleveland Clinic Sports center and participated in several drills. However, neither player would set a timetable for a return to game action.

Szczerbiak has missed three games with a left knee sprain, but he labeled himself “day to day” and said his knee is improving. Wallace, meanwhile, has been out since suffering a fractured right fibula Feb. 26 and is gradually adding drills to his regimen, but he has not yet participated in full-contact practice.

“I don’t know if I should come back,” Wallace joked when reminded that the Cavaliers are 13-1 without him.
