Simmons out with bone bruise

The Cleveland Cavaliers announced on Wednesday that an MRI on forward Cedric Simmons’ left ankle revealed a bone bruise.

He will be unavailable for tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons, and there is no timetable on his return.

Simmons, in his first season with the Cavs, averaged 2.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 43 games last season for the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets.
