Clyde Drexler to dance with the stars

Clyde Drexler will need to get his shoes ready, ballroom dancing shoes that is, as the hit show Dancing With The Stars premier March 19th.

Professional dancer Elena Grinenko, who returns for her second season, will be Drexler’s new Russian-like Olajuwon. Hopefully she knows how to glide.

Drexler is home-game commentator for the Houston Rockets, and will continue doing that during Dancing’s season.

Rockets director of broadcasting Joel Blank said Drexler will fly to Los Angeles for Monday and Tuesday shows but will rehearse largely back home.

“It shouldn’t be that bad,” Blank said. “He won’t miss as many games as people might think.”
