CavsNews.com was established in September of 2005 by two long time Cavaliers season ticket holders to keep the fans updated with what is going on with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Now, Cavs News is one of the major sources for news and commentaries and a favorite source of news for a lot of Cavaliers fans who want to follow our team every day.
Cavs News is different, because we are not associated with any local or national media. We provide news from the fans perspective for the fans.
We are continuously on the lookout for news and commentaries. We want you to know what others are saying about the Cleveland Cavaliers, whether it’s from different discussion forums or blogs around the web, our local news media, the opposing team’s home town paper or around the globe. Tariq Ali, is the founder of CavsNews.com. Tariq grew up watching and playing soccer but his heart was always in Basketball. Tariq arrived in Cleveland in 1993 and turned into a Cavaliers fan since.
GFO aka Mr G, is the co-founder of CavsNews.com. Mr G been a season ticket holder since 1971. You can find his real name at The Q on the “Season Ticket Hall of Fame” wall.
David Friedman is a freelance writer specializing in professional basketball. His work has been published in several magazines, including Hoop, Lindy’s Pro Basketball, Basketball Times and Basketball Digest. He has also contributed to NBCSports.com, HoopsHype.com and ProBasketballNews.com and his articles are frequently reprinted at Legends of Basketball, the official website of the National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA).
