Cavaliers News

The Cavaliers are looking for a center to replace Zydrunas Ilgauskas who is suffering from back problems. They found center Lance Allred from the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League and signed him to a 10-day contract today.

Lance started 38 games with the Stampede and averaged 16.2 points on .512 shooting, 10.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 29.6 minutes per game.

“It’s been a long three years since college,” said Allred, who just turned 27. “I’ve been a lot of places that would have made a lot of people quit.”

Also, the second 10-day contracts of Kaniel Dickens and Billy Thomas expired.

Lance was a great player at Weber State as well for the Idaho Stampede.

He will be around the NBA longer than 10 days…
