Hughes may be Gift Wrapped

Mon, Dec 24, 2007 By GFO

Cavaliers News

According to Branson Wright of the Cleveland Plain Dealer “Larry Hughes’ time with the Cavs might be just about over.  According to several league sources, the Cavs have contacted several teams about a deal involving the 6-5 guard.  One source said the Wizards are one of those teams.”

The trade deadline is Feb 21st.  “Hughes will be gone ay before then,” said one source, who did not want to be identified.  Hughes is upset that the Cavs have never put in an offense that plays to his strengths as a slasher.

Do you blame Mike Brown for Hughes demise, not recognizing his ability through proper coaching and play calling or is Hughes just a poor pick on Ferry’s part.  I guess only time will tell.

Hughes was a bad pick from the start. His injuries limited him from getting into a rhythm with the Cavs and that will not change. How can you build an offense around a player that is injures most of the time? I can’t blame Mike Brown for this.
