Cavalier Girls, Cavaliers News

The Cleveland Cavaliers got off to a wonderful start winning the home opener against the Hornets, but some people are talking more about the Cavalier dancers saying they were too hot for family audience and want to have more of a family atmosphere during the games.Cavalier Girls

“We appreciate feedback from our fans and consistently use it as our game entertainment elements continue to evolve” Cavaliers president Len Komoroski said responding to those complaints. “We will continue to listen closely to what our fans are saying and respond accordingly”
Some people think Usher, part owner of the Cavaliers was behind their dance routine but management declined those accusations and said he had no part in developing their dance routine.

What do you think? Did you see their dance? Let us know your thoughts on this

  1. I think that the Cavalier dancers did go too far by dancing in lace and other provocative clothing. It takes away from the talent and intelligence of these dancers because many of these women hold other professionals positions during the off-season.

There are two clips about it on cleveland.com that show part of the dance. The girls have steadily been getting more risque, and it’s unlikely they’ll tone down their routines especially since they are getting so much press now. The slightly creepy thing is most of these girls are 18-19 so the scandalous dress and dance styles, are things I think their parents can’t be very pleased with.

I loved their look and dance and I hope they continue doing what they are doing. This is the image thay want, just take a look at their swimsuit calendar. This is also to promote their calendar.

The Cavs girls are a great group of dancers. They are intelligent and dedicated to their perfomances. These girls practice 15-20 hrs per week on their own time. They are all experienced and well rounded dancers. The Cleveland Cavaliers have had the girls performing for years! Why now is there such contraversy? If you don’t like what you see don’t go to the games!

  5. Nicole says:

There was controversy over the conotation (sp?) of the outfits and moves the girls were doing in their routine, the song, and dance moves were less Pg and more PG13 and a basketball game is still supposed to be an environment where you are able to take a younger kid to (just like a football game or baseball game) without fear of exposing them to something they aren’t meant to see. I agree the ladies do dance well, and have to be dedicated performers, and they do practice several times a week, however nominal these girls still get paid for games and rehersals and aren’t members of the team for their sheer love of dance, there is a certain level of noteriety that goes with it, good or bad.

  6. Nicole says:

In fact saying don’t go to a basketball game bc of the dancers is like saying don’t go to a football game bc you don’t like the band. Ridiculous, its supposed to be first and foremost about the sport being played, not the “side” entertainment.
